Every new Disney Plus film will be available in November 2023.

These are all of the new Disney Plus films that have been released on the platform since October began.

New Disney Plus movies are routinely added to the streaming giant’s back archive, and with the holiday season approaching, Disney is rolling out the red carpet for its collection of Christmas-themed material.

Dashing from the Snow, a Disney Plus original that looks at the mythology surrounding Santa Clause (sorry, kids) from a unique perspective, is leading the charge on one of the world’s top streaming services. With the holidays less than a month away, anticipate even more heartwarming and snow-filled films to join it in the coming weeks.

If you’re feeling like a Grinch, there are plenty of new non-Christmas movies to enjoy. Below is a list of every new Disney Plus film that has been added to the streaming service’s library since the beginning of October. If you’re looking for even more options, check out our greatest Disney Plus movies guide.

Visitors from the United States should be aware that some of the entries below are only available on Hulu. We’ve added a note to individuals who are affected (you can also read our new Hulu movies to learn more about what’s coming to the sibling streaming service in the United States). Meanwhile, here are all of the new Disney Plus movies that have recently debuted on the site.

NOVEMBER 2023: NEW DISNEY PLUS MOVIES

Dashing Through the Snow

Release date: November 17

Ludacris, a US rapper-turned-actor, co-stars with Lil Rey Howery (Free Guy) and Teyonah Parris (The Marvels, They Cloned Tyrone) in this festive farce that appears to be straining a little too hard to be humorous.

Eddie Garrick, played by Ludacris, is a good-hearted man who despises Christmas because of a horrible childhood experience. Eddie’s faith in the holiday season may be restored when he and his nine-year-old daughter Charlotte (Madison Skye Validum) encounter a mysterious, red-suited guy named Nick (Howery) who bears more than a passing similarity to Santa Clause.

Dashing Through the Snow obviously recognizes its target group, but it’s difficult to tell if it’ll be one of 2023’s new Disney Plus movies that viewers will remember. Perhaps one to reserve for when you’re feeling particularly festive in December.

Spider-Man: Far From Home

Release date: November 3 (US only)

Spider-Man: Far From Home, the second part in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man film trilogy for the MCU, has returned to the Disney Plus library (UK and Australian audiences can watch it on Netflix instead).

In the first MCU film following Avengers: Endgame, Holland’s Peter Parker struggles to return to what he considers a somewhat regular life. Parker continues to grieve the loss of his mentor Tony Stark/Iron Man after his heroic sacrifice in Endgame, struggles with telling M.J. (Zendaya) how he truly feels about her, and juggles his superhero exploits with his academics. Things become more complicated when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), a supposedly multiversal superhero, ask his assistance in saving the planet from a new alien menace too.

Far From Home is a fantastic picture full of humor, tremendous action, fascinating drama, and emotional gut punches. It is arguably the poorest of Holland’s three films to date, but that is subjective given its 90% critical and 95% audience Rotten Tomatoes scores. See where it ranks in our list of the top Spider-Man movies, or learn how to watch the Spider-Man movies in order.

Quiz Lady

Release date: November 3 (available on Hulu in the US)

Quiz Lady stars Awkwafina (The Boys Presents: Diabolical, Shang-Chi) and Sandra Oh (Invincible, Killing Eve) as estranged sisters Anne and Jenny who meet when their mother dies. Unfortunately for the two, their mother amassed a massive gambling debt before passing away, and to make matters worse, Anne’s dog is abducted by their late parent’s criminal debt collectors.

However, after Anne demonstrates an unusual ability to properly answer questions on a quiz TV show, the duo embark on a cross-country expedition to convert Anne into a bona fide quiz champion, the proceeds of which will pay off said debt and allow Anne to reclaim her beloved hound.

Quiz Lady has been a surprising hit among fans and reviewers despite its lackluster trailer. Indeed, its 83% and 79% good ratings on Rotten Tomatoes attest to this. One of the new Disney Plus movies for November, with a passionate and funny tone that may be worth watching.

NEW DISNEY PLUS MOVIES TURNING IN OCTOBER 2023

Appendage

Release date: October 27 (available on Hulu in the US)

When it first appeared on Hulu, this Anna Zlokovic-directed picture – she also wrote the screenplay – could’ve been another undervalued horror film offering. However, its critical and financial reception hasn’t been as ecstatic as some might have imagined, so it won’t be a must-see for many.

Having said that, Appendage offers some advantages. It follows Hannah (Hadley Robinson), a fashion designer who is plagued by self-doubt. Hannah’s health rapidly deteriorates when her inner demons erupt to the surface and manifest as a horrific growth on her body – the titular appendage. But hope springs eternal, and she soon discovers that she isn’t the only one suffering from a debilitating, seemingly sentient tumor.

Appendage may have enough going for it (for some viewers, at least) with its odd body horror premise and at times humorous leanings to justify its 93-minute runtime. Others searching for something more conceptually substantial and frightening, on the other hand, will be disappointed.

The Boogeyman

Release date: October 11 (available on Hulu in the US)

The Boogeyman, based on Stephen King’s short story of the same name, spooked audiences when it hit theaters in mid-2023.

It centers on Sadie and Sawyer Harper (Sophie Thatcher and Vivien Lyra Blair), sisters who are struggling to cope with their mother’s recent death and whose grief-stricken therapist father Will (Chris Messina) has alienated them in the process. Things don’t get any better when one of Will’s patients shows up suddenly at their house one day, leaving behind a wicked supernatural entity that preys on their trauma.

When The Boogeyman was released, it received mixed reviews, with many applauding its occasional jump scares and foreboding, scary atmosphere while condemning its formulaic plot. Sure, it’s one to watch, but it’s not one to put to our list of the finest Hulu movies.

Mrs Doubtfire

Release date: October 6

Mrs Doubtfire, one of the late Robin Williams’ most beloved films, has entered Disney Plus’ back repertoire in the hopes of delivering joy to a new generation.

Williams portrays Daniel Hilliard, a freelance voice actor and recent divorcee who disguises himself as an elderly British lady (the eponymous character) in order to persuade ex-wife Miranda (Sally Field) to recruit him as their children’s new nanny. Daniel is first heartened by the opportunity to reunite with his children, but soon discovers that keeping up appearances isn’t as simple as he expected.

Mrs Doubtfire is a stone-cold comedy-drama classic, albeit one that’s a little out of date these days, thanks to Williams’ expectedly adorable and towering performance. Children may not fully comprehend it, but those wanting for some Williams-starring nostalgia will not be disappointed.
